Hey, I just became a citizen of the great kingdom of LOVELY. This is a new internet-based miconation founded by King Danny I as a constitutional monarchy in his flat in Bow, London. The country is currently accepting applications for citizenship and I am all good for joining. This country is great! Just look at the flag: It´s slighty off-center and a bit skewed. I feel it represents me as a person.

Also, consider his royal highness' wise state of the nation adress. His message to the citizens of this great nation is: Be good! Powerful ideas wrapped in a simple message. What a leader!

Currently the country already has over 53,000 citizens making it one of the largest small nations, already surpassing such heavyweights as Liechtenstein, Monaco and the Vatican city. Currently the country is woeing for international acceptance by appying for a membership in the UN and a trying to get a entry on the Eurovision Song Contest. It is alredy being recognized by the English version of the Wikipedia .

So how about it? Come on over and join. The grass is greener in Lovely...

Gotta love them Dutch for their sense of humor. A Dutch company came up with the idea of selling replicas of Nazi steel helmets made of orange plastic (orange being Hollands national color) for the soccer world cup this year in Germany. Heel grappig (real funny)! They come with Hup Holland Hup (Go Holland Go) or even the German phrase Jetzt geht´s losss (now it´s going to start) written on them.


I think the helmets would also make a great fan merchandise for the Germans during the world cup. But why use plastic, I think steel would be much sturdier ;-)

I went out and did quite a lot of searching for the perfect moutain bike for me: Affordable beginner´s bike, with a radical look and high quality. After sifting through countless MTB forums I ended up ordering A White Pepper from this German company Pepper Bikes (English webpage comming soon), because I felt they gave the best bang for the buck with a bike that just seemed well thought through.

Now that I have ridden it I can say I am more than pleased: This bike rocks! And the whole company, too! Friendly, quick, and honest service at almost any time of the day (and night). And how is this for customer service: I bought my bike for EU 649,-. A few weeks later they announced on their website, that they were able to make a deal with their supplier to allow lowering the price to EU 599,-. And everybody who paid EU 649,- will get EU 50,- back. Wow!

Their bikes are also a real good deal: One of their trekking bikes sold at EU 649,- tested very well against three other canidates in a national bike magazine test. Get this: The three other candiates all cost over EU 2000,-!

So my thanks goes out to Andi Braun and his Pepper Bike team, keep up the good work. When I grow up I want my company to be just as cool as yours :-)

I once made a pretty neat JavaScript version of the Magic Eightball. I just thought it would be nice to have on the web again. Looking for an appropriate URL I typed in www.magic8ball.com and ended up at the web store of MattelGameFinder.com, where they had this awesome rockin online version of the Magic Eightball. This is hands down the best online Eightball I have ever seen, and I have looked at a lot of them. It's even way better than my own version. So go ahead, ask him a question. Magic Eightball is your friend, and he always knows the answer.


My first question was Should I put you on my Blog?. The answer was Without a Doubt, which shows again that the Magic Eightball is always right. I believe in magic!

The more I get to know blogspace the more I get grabbed by this creative tidal wave building up in the internet. There is just so much innovative, cool, and crazy stuff out there, and for some reason blogging makes it available at a moment's notice! WOW!

How about this old-school acts of subversion the environmentally-consious way: Knit-Tagging. Spray-paint graffiti suddenly has become totally ich don't think so. Check out the article on her radical yarn-work in the huston press and then go look at Punk Knitta's myspace. Fabulous!!

HUMOROUS HERO THE HOFF IS

I´m not one to live in the past and worship stars from when I was young and shit, but there is one man that truly impresses me every time, one that I consider somewhat of an idol of mine, a man to aspire to: David Hasselhoff.

I just stumbled across neat picture of the Hoff, which testifies to his marvellous sense of humor that I admire so much:
